Indra Kubicek, CPA – CA

Indra Kubicek is the President & CFO of Digital Moment, an award-winning NGO based in Montreal, Canada. Digital Moment provides digital skills building opportunities for youth to allow them thrive in a digital future, with a focus on reaching underserved communities and girls. Indra has led Digital Moment through a period of scaling, taking the organization from small local team to a national team serving hundreds of thousands of youth per year.

Previous to moving to Montreal in 2017 to build Digital Moment, she worked at the Raspberry Pi Foundation in London UK where she built an international program focused on building digital skills opportunities for youth around the world. Her interest in digital skills education began from her own journey as an entrepreneur building a tech platform solution for the yoga industry. This experience led her to understand the importance of quality and equitable education for all youth in the fast-changing world of technology.

Indra started her career in Vancouver, Canada where she qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2006. In 2007, she moved to London, UK, where she worked for various multinational companies in finance, compliance & risk management, managing global teams and projects. She also holds a Bachelors of Business Administration, a Master’s of Professional Accounting.

In 2012 she shifted her career towards social enterprises after helping start a corporate foundation providing funding to small grassroots NGOs in Sub-Saharan Africa. She then completed a Master’s in Public Policy & Management, focusing on impact assessment and Public-Private Partnerships and made the conscious move to lead social purpose teams and organizations.

She sits on the Board of Start-Up Montreal (Audit Committee Member), the Board of Accelerate 2030, and acts as an Advisor to a Start-up Committee at MILA (Montreal Institute for Learning Algorithms).
