Mary Potter

After becoming involved with the Council of Women around 1980, I have held many offices in the National, Provincial and Local Councils. With the National Council I have been the Strategic Planning Task Force Chair, Vice-President of both Business & Professions and Public Relations, Constitution Convenor, Nominations Convenor and Resolutions Convenor.

With the Provincial Council of Women I have been Constitution Convenor, Vice-President of both Legislation and Resolutions, Secretary, Treasurer and President.

Locally with the St. Catharines & District Council of Women which changed its name to Niagara District Council of Women, I have been President, Treasurer, Resolutions Convenor and Secretary.
I have always been interested in the natural environment and served as Chair of the Friends of Malcolmson Eco-Park where I learned a lot about native plants. As a volunteer with the Niagara Restoration Council I have helped plant trees and wildflowers and I weed several pollinator gardens. I am a member of the Peninsula Field Naturalists where I have served as Membership Secretary and been in charge of refreshments for many years.
