Economic issues that take priority for me are measures that will help to eradicate poverty, housing for the homeless and affordable housing, as well as reform of Employment Insurance. We will continue to monitor all economic/employment issues that impact women and families; develop new resolutions to address gaps in our policies or reflect new issues; and hold the federal government to account re promised actions. Over the past two decades I have written approximately 25 briefs to Government, many of which were Pre-Budget Consultation Briefs, as well as numerous letters addressing economic and employment issues. I will continue to write letters/briefs in advocacy of our economic/employment policies as required.
